Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes. Virtual consultations are available for clients outside Arnhem or the Netherlands. We guide you through the measurement process step by step to ensure accuracy for your maatpak, smoking, or other bespoke garment. Book a virtual consultation →
How long does a consultation or fitting take?
All consultations are 45 minutes. This covers your style discussion, fabric selection, and full measurement taking. For complex orders such as Agbadas or coordinated group orders, we may schedule additional time.
Is there a fee for consultations or fittings?
No. Initial 45-minute consultations are complimentary, whether in-person at The Dhuke Atelier or virtual. Fees for extended or specialist sessions will be communicated and agreed in advance.
Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
How do I place an order?
Orders can be placed via our online store, during a consultation, or directly via WhatsApp or email. Once confirmed, you will receive an order summary detailing specifications, price, and timeline.
How long does production take (productietijd)?
Standard production for all bespoke and made-to-measure garments is 4–5 weeks from the date of consultation and confirmed payment, depending on complexity. Delivery time is additional to this — see our Shipping Policy for timeframes.
Can I make changes to my order after it is placed?
Yes, but only within 24 hours of your order confirmation email. Contact us immediately at info@dhukecollectibles.com. Changes requested after this period may incur additional costs and affect your delivery timeline. No extra charges will be applied without your written approval.
Can I collect my order in person from the Arnhem studio?
Yes. Collection is available from The Dhuke Atelier, Goudreinetgaard 5, 6831AT Arnhem. Please let us know during your consultation that you would like to collect in person, and we will arrange a convenient time for you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfers, major credit and debit cards, and secure online payment platforms. A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to commence production. The remaining balance is due before delivery or collection.
How far in advance should I place a group or wedding order?
We recommend placing group orders — including coordinated wedding suits (trouwpakken), groomsmen suits, or corporate orders — at least 6–8 weeks in advance to ensure timely production and delivery. Contact us at info@dhukecollectibles.com for a custom quote.
What types of menswear does Dhuke Collectibles offer?
We specialise in bespoke suits (maatpakken), tuxedos (smokings), safari jackets, Agbadas, Senators, wedding suits (trouwpakken op maat), made-to-measure trousers, and Dhuke Corporate Shirts. All garments except unaltered corporate shirts are bespoke or made-to-measure.
What is the difference between bespoke and made-to-measure?
Bespoke: a unique pattern is built from scratch based entirely on
your measurements and specifications. The highest level of customisation.
Made-to-measure: an existing pattern is adjusted to your measurements.
Both approaches ensure your garment fits precisely and is produced exclusively for you.
Can I customise my suit design (fabric, lapels, buttons, lining)?
Yes. During your consultation you will choose fabric, lapel style (notch, peak, or shawl), button configuration, lining, and additional detailing. Fabric swatches for maatpakken, trouwpakken, and smokings are available on request during your fitting.
Do you offer traditional African attire such as Agbada or Senator styles?
Yes. We create Agbadas and Senators with the same precision and craftsmanship as our European-style suits. These are among our most distinctive offerings and are produced to your individual measurements and specifications.
Are your garments handmade or machine-stitched?
All Dhuke maatpakken, smokings, and bespoke garments are handcrafted by skilled tailors for precision and elegance. Dhuke Corporate Shirts are factory produced and available in standard sizing, with optional alterations.
Can you replicate a design I have seen elsewhere?
Yes. We can recreate your desired design while maintaining Dhuke craftsmanship standards and using your chosen fabrics and specifications. Bring reference images to your consultation.
How do I take my measurements for a remote order?
Book a virtual consultation and we will guide you through the measurement process step by step. We verify all details before production begins to ensure accuracy. For the best results, we strongly recommend an in-person fitting at The Dhuke Atelier in Arnhem where possible.
Do you keep my measurements for future orders?
Yes. We securely store your measurements for repeat orders, subject to your consent under our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your measurement data at any time by contacting info@dhukecollectibles.com.
What if my measurements change after placing an order?
Contact us immediately at info@dhukecollectibles.com. We can accommodate changes if production has not yet commenced. Once production has started, changes may incur additional costs and affect your delivery timeline.
What is the difference between tailored fit and slim fit?
Tailored fit: a slightly relaxed but sharp silhouette with room
for comfortable movement. Classic and versatile.
Slim fit: a closer, more contoured look that follows the body's
natural lines. We discuss which silhouette suits your body type and preferences
during your consultation.
Can I return a bespoke garment (maatpak retourneren)?
No. Bespoke and made-to-measure garments are produced exclusively to your
specifications and are exempt from the EU 14-day right of withdrawal under
Article 16(c) of the Consumer Rights Directive. All sales of bespoke items
are final.

Are alterations included with my bespoke order?
Yes. Complimentary alterations are available within 30 days of your confirmed delivery date for all bespoke and made-to-measure garments. Contact info@dhukecollectibles.com within 30 days to arrange. Alteration requests after 30 days may be subject to a charge.
Can I return a Dhuke Corporate Shirt?
If you ordered a corporate shirt in standard sizing without alterations, you may return it within 14 days of delivery in line with your EU statutory rights. Once alterations have been requested, the shirt becomes a personalised item and cannot be returned. See our Return Policy for full details.
How do I care for my bespoke suit (maatpak onderhoud)?
Store your suit in the breathable garment bag provided with your Dhuke order, on a sturdy hanger, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid overcrowding your wardrobe. Allow the suit to air for at least 24 hours after wearing before returning it to storage.
Are Dhuke suits dry-clean only?
Yes. We recommend professional dry cleaning to preserve the shape, structure, and craftsmanship of your Dhuke garment. Dry clean only when necessary — typically after 5–10 wears. Spot-clean minor stains between cleans to extend the garment's life.
Do you offer after-sales repairs or adjustments?
Yes. Post-purchase alteration and repair services are available for maatpakken, smokings, and native wear. Alterations within 30 days of delivery are complimentary for bespoke garments. After 30 days, alteration services are available for a fee. Contact us at info@dhukecollectibles.com to arrange.
